Experience
Karen Schaller has nearly a decade of consulting experience working with nonprofits to support their fundraising efforts. She is a skilled user and trainer for GiftWorks and GiftMaker Pro fundraising software, and is currently adding Sustain fundraising management software to her range of database expertise.
In addition to her data conversion and training services, Karen presents SkillBuilder workshops on behalf of the Maine Association of Nonprofits, provides input to the GiftWorks Users Group, participates in GiftWorks beta testing for major upgrades and new add-ins, and is providing feedback for Sustain.
While employed with the nonprofit management and fundraising consulting firms of Gary Friedmann & Associates and BHC Consulting Group, Karen developed her skill in data conversions and training. She also managed several donor databases helping to execute special events, mailings, and public relations programs. Her extensive working knowledge of computer applications, including database software, Excel and Word, was instrumental in providing efficient support for successful fundraising activities, including feasibility studies, direct mail appeals, annual funds, and capital campaigns.
